Registration and Setup:

  • All participants must register prior to the event
  • Registration fee is $15
  • Each participant should bring their own utensils, napkins, and any other serving items they might need.
  • Participants should prepare a brief description of their cornbread, sharing inspiration behind the recipe, unique ingredients, or any cultural significance. This description will be displayed alongside their samples.

Cornbread samples:

  • Participants must provide at least 40 samples (bite-sized or small portions) for tasting.
  • Each sample should be individually portioned and ready for distribution.

Judging and Criteria:

Cornbread entries will be judged based on:

  • Taste (flavor, seasoning, and overall appeal)
  • Texture (moistness, crumb, and consistency)
  • Presentation (appearance and creativity)

Judges and attendees will sample and vote, with a designated judging panel awarding additional points for creativity and cultural relevance.

Award Categories:

  • Best Traditional Cornbread
  • Most Creative Cornbread
  • Best Vegetarian Cornbread
  • Fan Favorite (Based on audience votes)

Prizes:

Winners will receive a special community recognition award and bragging rights for 2025!
