Veterans History Project Training

In anticipation of the forthcoming Veterans History Project Recording Event scheduled for January 27, 2024, we are thrilled to announce another Veterans History Project Training, a vital step in safeguarding the narratives of our nation's esteemed veterans. This training is organized by Paula Davis, Founder of Good Samaritan Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving our community.

The Veterans History Project (VHP) of the Library of Congress American Folklife Center is a pivotal initiative committed to collecting and preserving firsthand interviews and narratives from United States military veterans. These stories, spanning from World War I to the present, bear witness to the courage, dedication, and sacrifices made by our veterans to safeguard our nation's freedoms.

We are pleased to report that the previous training, held on December 7, was a success. However, in our ongoing efforts to make a meaningful impact, we still encourage more volunteers to join this cause. Your participation will help us prepare comprehensively for the VHP Recording Event on January 27, 2024.

How to Participate:

Participation in the training is open to all who are eager to contribute to this noble cause. Simply attend the training at the specified date and time. The training is free of charge, and your commitment is highly valued.

Upon completing the training, you will have the opportunity to apply your newly acquired skills at the Veterans History Project Recording Event on January 27, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM. During this event, you will have the privilege of conducting interviews with veterans, recording their stories, and contributing to the preservation of our nation's history.

We anticipate your involvement in this noble endeavor to ensure that the sacrifices and experiences of our veterans are honored and remembered. Your contribution is instrumental in preserving our nation's rich military history.
